Sustainability & Off-Grid Living

Our vineyard cabins are fully off-grid, designed to tread lightly on the land while offering a restorative, luxury-in-simplicity escape. Living off-grid means being self-sufficient and operating independently of mains power and water, relying instead on natural resources.

Powered by the sun– Solar energy and batteries provide electricity for your cabin. Energy is precious, so high-draw appliances like hairdryers, straighteners, and electric heaters can’t be used.

Rainwater tanks– All water in the cabins is harvested from rain, filtered, and stored on site. We ask guests to be mindful of usage during their stay.

Gas bottles– Clean, efficient bottled gas is used for hot water and cooking.

Low-impact design– Double-glazed windows, LED lighting, natural insulation, and energy-efficient appliances keep energy use to a minimum while ensuring comfort.

Unplug & unwind– We intentionally do not provide WiFi or TVs, encouraging you to relax, rediscover, and reconnect with loved ones and nature. There is mobile reception and access to your own data if needed.

Waste reduction– We minimise single-use plastics by providing refillable amenities and encourage guests to recycle during their stay.

Here, luxury is found in simplicity - slowing down, living mindfully, and enjoying the natural beauty of the Barossa while knowing your stay leaves a lighter footprint.
