2025 'Triple Threat' Barossa Valley Mataro Rose

The Triple ThreatMataro Rosé is a vibrant and expressive wine, crafted from our Home Block vineyard in Vine Vale on the eastern edge of the Barossa Valley. Grown in deep sandy loam over white clay, this site consistently delivers fruit with purity, depth, and finesse.

Light Pink, salmon in hue, the wine opens with lifted aromas of strawberry, pink grapefruit and watermelon, with a gentle floral note of rose petal. The palate is crisp and dry, with juicy red fruit, a fine line of acidity, and a subtle savoury edge that adds texture and complexity.

Handcrafted in small batches with minimal intervention, this rosé is a celebration of place, variety, and style — a true triple threat.

The 2025Triple ThreatRosé is a striking expression of Barossa Valley Mataro, offering an enticing bouquet of fresh-picked strawberries, delicate white flowers, and hints of watermelon and pink lady apple. On the palate, it’s mouth-filling and elegant, with flavours of strawberries and cream, wild raspberries, and a touch of rosehip. The wine’s soft, supple texture is complemented by a fine line of acidity that gives energy and length, while a gentle savoury edge adds dimension and complexity.

The Mataro is sourced exclusively from our Home Block vineyard in Vine Vale, situated on the eastern ridge of the Barossa Valley. This site features 30-year-old own-rooted vines planted on sandy loam over white, non-reactive clay — ideal for producing small, intensely flavoured berries. The vineyard’s north–south orientation captures the afternoon sun, promoting early ripening and rich flavour development, while the low-cropping vines consistently yield fruit of depth and distinction.

This rosé is a celebration of site, variety, and season — vibrant, textural, and bursting with character. Perfect for drinking now, but with enough structure to evolve gracefully over the next few years.
